LEARN TO SEW
Suitable for beginners. This class goes over the basics of operating a sewing machine, cutting and sewing garments, and basic pattern alterations.
This class has two main projects, which will provide students with an understanding of different fabric types and the core skills to apply to garment making. The focus of both projects is how to make small alterations to basic patterns to fit YOU rather than working with commercial patterns.
Project 1: apron built to fit your proportions and needs
Project 2: taking an existing stretch fabric garment that fits you (t-shirt, tank top, leggings, bike shorts) and making a pattern from it to make a new version
Materials and equipment for all projects are provided with the course.
