In this course at TTLMakerspace, you will go beyond basic 3D printing knowledge and be able to create custom designs. Learn to use CAD modelling to upgrade or build your own models, optimized for 3D print.

Starting with manual printer control, you will progress to custom modelling and even advanced techniques such as 3D scanning and reverse engineering.

Schedule:

Six three-hour weekly classes, Mondays 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

Outcomes:
At the end of this course you will have achieved the following goals:
  • A complete understanding of the steps needed to go from concept to completed part
  • Experience and comprehension of parametric 3D modelling
  • Knowledge of 3D printing best practices 
  • Familiarity with scanning for 3D print 
  • Principles of reverse engineering and part repair
  • Understanding of the properties of different 3D printing filaments
  • Use cases for SLA (resin) printing vs. FDM printing 

Following this hands-on course, you’ll be certified to use 3D printers and book time with the machines at the TTLMakerspace (with your membership). You will also be able to join the growing community of TTL Makers sharing 3D printing & 3D modelling knowledge on our Discord community.
